Increasing equity isn’t an abstract question about hierarchy (horizontal/flat, vertical, decentralized, consensus, etc.). Instead of getting bogged down in a false binary, we’ll get concrete about how power in your team is—and isn’t—shared, then learn to make your decision-making process more explicit and equitable.
Decision-making is where the rubber meets the road for equity and democracy. Here’s what you can expect:

We’ll practice clarifying roles like: Who decides? Who helps? Who do they consult first? Who do they inform after?

In this session, you’ll learn tools and apply them to your own team. We’ll get creative about your decision-making process, with a goal of good-enough-to-try and then iterate from, rather than waiting for a perfection that doesn’t exist.

After this session, you’ll be ready to slice through the hierarchy debate and move your team toward shared goals of increasing equity.
